I took a class with Laneway Learning. It happened to be at The Little Mule where I had my latte at a few days back. Laneway Learning has small quick classes you can take, everything from chocolate tasting to interior design.
I went to my first class on typography. They explained how you can create your own type, what are considered in making a type. Then we did a “game” by just using TYPE COOK with tells you the variables you need to work with and then you let your mind go and start trying to make that type.
Interesting to see what people do with what they have. Also, hamburger or hand gloves is the best word you could use to test out a new font since you can see all the letter formats together in one word. Good to know.
cheers and happy traveling.
