[travel] day 189: clamming oregon coast

Hello folks!

This weekend my Kyle, brother and I went for a drive to the oregon coast. Sunset beach was the beach of choice when we decided that we would go clamming. Little did we know that we really needed a negative tide in order to catch these razor clams.

We looked like fools running around the beach looking for holes. We had fun anyways.

I found a shrimp like creature job the sand. But no clams.

We drive from sunset beach which is north of seaside and drove down to Netarts Bay. Stopped at Tillamook for some cheese!

We drove into Netarts bay for oysters and called it a day and drove back to Portland.

Oh and did I tell you that our day started at 6 am….in order to catch low tide which wasn’t low enough…bummer.

But we ended up with a Manila clam and oyster feast for dinner even though we didn’t catch it. Plus we went to the driving range for some fun.

Cheers and happy traveling.
Mao.
